Of course I’m nervous! I’ts been more than 3 months since I last made a video and it took a lot of guts to start doing this again! It can be really easy to just be comfortable working for clients in silence, forgetting what it was to challenge yourself each week and try to learn new things.
But that is over, and if you are reading this it means that I pushed the publish button and there is not way back from this:
I AM STARTING A BOOK AND I WON’T STOP UNTIL I FINISH IT.
What is the book about? Well, I made a video on it and it’s embedded down below, with a video version of most of what you will see in this post. What is the post about? Storytelling! I have to polish the story in this book before I even begin drawing. I know it is weird to have a whole post and video on not-drawing but this is also part of the process of making a book. Below you will find a link to some articles that gave me insight on the basics of storytelling. If you watch a lot of movies or read a lot of books you will se that most of what is said in the articles are probably things you already know. Still, it’s good to have a small collection of written advice on how to polish your initial ideas.
Below the links you will find the videos of the week and a link to some more articles on the pinterest board I made. Enjoy!
Did you like the video? Do you want the tutorials? Well click on the images below to go directly to them and their authors website! If any of the links don’t take you straight to the tutorial, you can still look at it in the Pinterest board where I saved these tutorials and more, including some reference!
